DESCRIPTION:
Tech & Minimal Techno - Single Release from the forthcoming album “Catharsis”, produced by Sven Väth & Gregor Tresher

“When you cannot play music - make some.”

Vivid things have been happening backstage in the long months that Sven was deprived of your company.

We now have a gorgeous Cocoon Recordings announcement to make. Coming your way is an astounding new single, “Feiern” and next year a fabulous new album, “Catharsis”.

Sven Väth. The steamrolling icon has had his tentacles in almost everything that has happened in electronic music over twenty-plus years. The DJ, who even challenged Ibiza to change, and it did. His Cocoon has painted new pictures there and everywhere.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the heroic Sven Väth has been back in the studio, and he took with him his old friend and production wizard Gregor Tresher, a sparkling influential artist in his own right. From this musical chemistry came “Catharsis”, an aptly titled album.

These are songs for these strange times whilst announcing that the sun is coming back out.

For now, comes the single, the glorious “Feiern”, the first release from the LP, the sound of Sven calling you back to the beat, opening the doors to the throbbing, big room dance floor. Passionate, celebratory, hopeful. It’s a huge anthem for our time.

Listen to it home alone, and you will still find yourself on a dance floor amongst waving arms and random cuddles.

It could only be Sven.

Sven Väth (born 26 October 1964, near Frankfurt, Germany) is a DJ who has produced an extensive range of work since his career began in 1982. He was also one of the founders of trance music labels Harthouse and the now-defunct Eye Q, as well as being among the first DJs to play trance records. In 1995 Mixmag rated his album Accident in Paradise one of the top-50 dance albums of all time; although the title track is a fast techno piece, the rest is far more sedate, such as the track "Coda," which features merely a flute and a harpsichord. Väth is also known as "RU Ready" and "Sam Vision". He has been a member of the groups 16 Bit, Astral Pilot, Barbarella, the Essence of Nature, Metal Master, Metal Masters, Mosaic, and Off. Today he is the owner of the Cocoon Event Media GmbH, which contains his new Label, Cocoon Recordings. He is also the owner of the Cocoon Club in Frankfurt. Read more on Last.fm.
