Last FM Information on Queen B

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
There are several artists with this name (1) "Queen B" were a British duo consisting of Belinda Leith (Vocalist) and Ray Kovacs (guitars). Debut release "Red Top Hot Shot" was issued in January 1990 on London Records and produced by Mark Saunders. The song is reminscent of female orientated new wave pop at the time such as The Primitives "Crash" and Transvision Vamp. B-side "Gardening" was a more funk orientated song produced by Rob Davis from 70's glam rock band Mud. The single did not chart in spite of the press attention they got as well as the videos they made. A follow up single which was influenced by Suzi Quatro did not get released and the duo folded up. Leith eventually joined Daisy Chainsaw for a while as a vocalist, whilst Kovacs is now a freelance guitarist and musician as well as being involved in the band Drill Queen. (2) "Queen B" is an electronic music producer from the UK. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
