Vinyl record
DESCRIPTION:
Techno / Tech 2 Tracker Qwirky Keyboard Claude Vonstroke Stylee - Starting out in 2001 as a mere compilation series to tie up some loose ends from our regulars, Speicher has since become a guarantee for vanguard dance sounds from all over the planet, allowing KOMPAKT to invite and support electronic artists that comfortably inhabit both the delicate and the more deliberate ends of the electronic music spectrum. For SPEICHER 74, best buddies Rainer Weichhold and Namito unite under new monicker Hick Hack to bring you two utterly compelling cuts sure to beef up even the most demanding DJ set.

It’s certainly not the first time that Rainer Weichhold of Kling Klong fame and wellestablished groove connaisseur Namito collaborate on highgrade floor weaponry, but there’s a strong argument to be made for HICK HACK being their finest work to date. You’ll find all the audiophile finesse and spirited deepness you come to expect from the two producers, embedded in two exuberant tracks already pawing the ground in anticipation of their deployment.

"Hick" gets off to a brisk and bleepy start with propelling percussion and a pumped bassdrum, exuding more of a techy vibe than its counterpart "Hack", which combines mad cowbells with glitzy house stabs and tribalicious snares. As two sides of the same coin, both tracks depict perfect club chemistry and will level any playing field in a matter of nanoseconds, making this an expertly crafted double headliner more than ready for funky mayhem.

Namito is one of the most pleasant DJs you could hope to meet. Far from the wannabe stars that dominate the scene Namito truly loves his career and relishes every moment he spends playing or producing. While other DJs strive for fame and recognition, Namitos down_to_earth attitude and approach to his music make him one of the few real DJ_Artists. Rarely do you find such a dedicated individual, the man goes to bed with his logic audio manual for gods sake! With a career spanning a period of over 18 years Namito s music has become a trademark within Germany s clubland. Boasting regular appearances in some of Germany s most reknown clubs including Tresor, Sternradio and former E-Werk, Namito has shared the decks with some of dance music most treasured Djs. Namito first discovered his love for Techno when he was allowed behind the decks at a Berlin club where one of his friends was holding a residency. After a couple of nights playing, young Namito was hooked. Thereafter he spent his time combining his school days with practising and polishing up his mixing technique on a borrowed MKII. The club owner got word of Namitos dedication and persistance and offered him a place behind the decks. From then on Namito became an ever present force within Berlins expanding rave scene. With the fall of the Berlin wall, the Berlin clubland gave way for a new genre of dance music. Legendary clubs such a Tresor and E-werk achieved cult status within the global club land . His impeccable talent and unique character made him to one of the faces of this new genre leading him to play alongside most of the Loveparade Godfathers such as Dr Motte, Westbam and Sven Vaeth. In 1995 he landed a residency in Berlins most acclaimed club at the time, Tresor. His own night sought to support local German Djs and soon became a highlight on the clubs agenda. Here he teamed up with dance luminaries such as Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier. 1997 marked a turning point for Namitos career when he joined forces with Berlins notorious event team NO UFOS. Namito soon became an integral member showcasing music at most of their events. When in 2000 the team opened their first club Sternradio he immediately landed a residency, His own night Night Drive which showcased the best dance music and has hosted guests such as James Holden, Parks and Wilson, Humate and Marmion head Marcos Lopez. Unleashed on to global Club land Namito has played guest spots all over Europe, Asia and South America, including venues such as The Roxy (Prague) , Gallery @ Turnmills (London), Branca Leone (Rome) and Liberty one. Namito has an ear for advanced music and is always on the search for new ideas which he incorporates into his unique sound and has displayed his production talent with the release of a plethora of singles and remixes under his belt. In March 2003 Namito released an anti-war record together with Dr Motte, the founder of LOVE PARADE. Their track bush fire was released on the day of the American attack on Iraq. bush fire was one of the main tunes of the love parade 2003! 2006 was a full success for Namito with releases on state of the art labels like Kling Klong and Great Stuff and a remix for Kosheens single overkill in cooperation with his buddy Martin Eyerer. 2007 will also be a dynamic year as Namito has already finished diverse releases and remixes. His bags are packed to spin around the globe with guest spots in Asia and Europe. His German fans will not go without as Namito continues to reel in his special guests at his various nights at different clubs in Berlin such as GMF at CafE Moskau and Ostfunk. Above all, Namito is the perfect gentleman who would always favour a human outlook to stardom. Read more on Last.fm.
