DESCRIPTION:
$ tracks OF dep House / Tech House - A true chameleon when it comes to music production, Patrick Bruyndonx aka Lost Desert has been making waves in the global house and techno music scene for over 30 years under various aliases.

Inspired by 90’s deep house, “Pagode” is a classy sounding EP steering away from the more “organic” music Patrick has been getting known for in recent years. It combines delicate, yet uplifting synth lines with warm pads, straight house drums, funky vocals and disco infused bass grooves. All in all, it is a well rounded EP that should find its way to all house heads’ crates out there.

Satya's 10th release is from Patrick Bruyndon aka Lost Desert, who has been making music for 30 years and who we last heard from back in January while collaborating with All Day I Dream label head Lee Burridge. He is back now making more enticing grooves that are just as much a blissful mix of organic melodies and deep, wavy beats as ever. 'In A Pagode' kicks off with darker drum funk and more intense synth work while 'Driving Up North' is a brilliantly late night sound, with soft drums and twinkling melodies up top. 'Wantya Needya' is another one with a more direct and melon-twisting vibe before the hypnotic day time house of 'Rolling Stoned'.

Last FM Information on Lost Desert

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
There are multiple artists with this name: 1) Lost Desert was a French coldwave band, founded in 1986 in the suburbs of Paris, near Versailles. The name of the band was suggested by a friend and appreciated for its mysterious meaning. They found inspiration in bands like The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Bauhaus, but also movies and visual art. Initially, the band was founded by two friends and their younger brothers. Feeling they could improve the vocals, they soon hired a female singer and started to play live in the Paris area, using a 4-track device for recording, usually with a drum machine. Lost Desert released their first cassette "Heterogen Infiltration", an entirely homemade affair, down to the duplication, in 1989. This tape was sold in a few specialized record stores in Paris. A year later, New Horizon released the album "A travers le miroir", featuring both new versions of songs and fresh tracks. Several songs by the band can be found on various tape-only compilations, like: "Nos années folles", "Ineptie", "Mea Pulpa". The last track by Lost Desert was released in 1991 on "Supercherie", when the band didn’t even exist anymore. 2) Lost Desert is a psychedelic rock solo project from Barcelona, Spain. Released the album "Wasteland" in January 2014. Bandcamp page: http://lostdesert.bandcamp.com Read more on Last.fm.
