Breaks / Happy Hardcoire Sampling Nina Simone - Legendary artist Isotonik steps back to the front with this HUGE ep of classic rave sounds. Hitting the slower, piano led and summery vibe had always been his strong point, and it remains so with these three future classics, each containing more soul and style than the majority of rave releases from then or now.

A true standard for the piano-hardcore Techno era, "Different Strokes" joins together amazing samples, beats and synth lines. The synth pads on the beginning are taken from "Pacific" by 808 State and re-worked, but you can still figure out it was taken from there; the synthesizer lines goes from these atmospheric ones to the amazing piano melodies of "Salsa House" (1989) by Richie Rich, and also a fragment of the hoover synths from the Techno Anthem 'Second Phase - Mentasm' (1991) - both on the drop out of "Different Strokes".
The vocal samples are from 'Whatever Makes You Happy' (1990) by Marshall Jefferson & Ten City. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
