DESCRIPTION:
Hot new remix of disco boogie classic + original
Another entry into Unidisc's mammoth 40th anniversary celebrations is this sublime prime piece of 1983 boogie pressure from Ingram, boasting a refix from the mighty Mark Knight & Michael Gray.

James Ingram's evergreen jam was an anthem at 80's soul weekenders in the UK, as well as being a crossover record that found favour with B-boys and ravers alike with it's easy electro funk groove. A true classic in every sense of the world, 'DJ's Delight' is one of those tracks that just doesn't stop - watch that bassline! In the spirit of celebration, Unidisc has invited remix heavyweights Knight & Gray to bring their vision of the track into the year 2021 with their modern peaktime version appearing here in both extended and single versions alongside the OG mix. Absolutely essential repress, beautifully presented by your friends over at Unidisc.

Ingram was a group of talented musicians consisting of siblings from Camden NJ. Their popularity in the New Jersey and Philadelphia areas began in the early to mid 70's and continued with varying levels of success thorughout the early 80's. The brother-and-sister ensemble did not reach any significant level of popularity either stateside or overseas, although they remained active in all areas of music making including songwriting, producing and session work. The music they did create was a hybrid of blues, soul, gospel and rhythm and blues. The father of the group members was a minister and the names of the members of the group included at one time or another : Norman, James (Jimi), Barbara, Billy, Timmy, Francis, Edith and Virginia.
