2x12" LP - Rap / Hip Hop - Fort Minor: We Major, often known as We Major, is an official mixtape by American rapper Mike Shinoda's side-project Fort Minor, hosted by DJ Green Lantern (who also served as a mixer, producer and mixtape presenter). The mixtape was made as a warm-up/prequel to promote their first album The Rising Tied, and was first released on the internet as a free download.It was released on October 30, 2005, through the Warner Bros. and Machine Shop record labels.
If you like the LP, then you have to check this out, because it way superior. The remixes of 'Petrified' and 'Remember The Name' are much better. The reason why these tracks did not make the album is because of sample clearnace issues. Classic tracks from guns'n'roses, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Funkadelic and i think even the queens of the stone age get the hip-hop treatment. 'Spraypaint and inkpens' an ode to grafiti art (featuring ghostface and lupe fiasco)IMO is up there with artifacts 'wrong side of the track'.
