DESCRIPTION:
4 Track - 4 Artists of Nu Disco / Deep House. Laying down the 6th release on the hotly tipped Ravanelli Disco Club, are four producers from around the world that know just the right summertime recipe to get you in the mood for a night of debauchery.

Four cuts that transport you to open air beach parties, poolside throwdowns and sunset soirees, providing the perfect getaway to lockdown life.

We may not be able to gather to dance outdoors under a blazing sun or a blanket of stars, but there's no harm in a little musical daydreaming. That's what the latest multi-artist Ravenelli Disco Club release is all about: summery escapism that comes with a big dollop of rush-inducing disco release. Ethyene sets the tone with the colourful boogie-house fusion of "Let Love" - all twinkling synth motifs, echoing percussion hits, thickset grooves and hazy vocal samples - before Carlo raises the temperature via some jazzy deep house heaviness in the vein of Derrick Carter's "boompty" era. Over on side B, Hotmood's "Magical Flight" is a surging, string-drenched disco-house roller, while Rees' "The Way You Mood" is a tooled-up take on what sounds like a classic Philadelphia International cut.

Last FM Information on Carlo

Please note the information is done on a artist keyword match and data is provided by LastFM.
There are three artists named Carlo. 1) One is a UK based netlabel producer. 2) The other is a Canadian based hip hop musician/DJ. He is commonly known for his split work with Buddy Peace, as well as his solo releases. 3) Carlo Mastrangelo (October 5, 1937 – April 4, 2016) was an American doo-wop and progressive rock singer. He was an original member of The Belmonts (with or without Dion DiMucci), a popular singing group of the late 1950s and early 1960s. When Mastrangelo left the Belmonts, he attempted a solo career on Laurie Records, releasing four singles under the name "Carlo". He was backed vocally by the uncredited Tremonts (aka The Demilles). The singles, "Baby Doll", and "Little Orphan Girl", received considerable airplay in Florida and a few other states, but didn't make the national charts. "Ring-A-Ling", a tune which he overdubbed catchy bass vocals to, was a favorite of New York disc jockey Murray the K. He featured it on his weekly, "Record Review Board Contest", February 12, 1964, and it was the clear winner. It received airplay on New York stations WINS and WENE, but also failed to chart nationally. Around the same time, he contributed backing bass vocals to the Laurie single, "Donna Lee", by the Demilles, before joining Dion DiMucci again. He also led the progressive rock/jazz ensemble, "Pulse", during the 1970s. Carlo was born and raised in The Bronx, (he lived in an apartment on the corner of 179th St. and Mapes Ave.) Mastrangelo lived in Boynton Beach, Florida, minutes away from Dion DiMucci. The two former lead singers of The Belmonts continued to collaborate on many of DiMucci's recordings and live performances from the 1980s until Mastrangelo's death in April 2016. Last FM Information on Hotmood

Hotmood's style reflects his productions. Hailing from Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Guillermo combines slo-mo boogie, groove laden disco, quality house, 70's funk and deep sounds. Always adept at reading the crowd thanks to several decades of experience behind the decks. Master of the laid-back, cosmic-funk groove, Hotmood has had some heavy duty output during 2018 on labels like Masterworks Music, Editorial, Poetry In Motion, and Whiskey Disco. His 'Voyage To The Onda', was a sophisticated slice of space-disco- funk released on the De La Groove 'Crossovers and Alley Oops' compilation, whilst the restrained, rolling vibe of his original 'Dance To The Music' picked up plenty of DJ compliments too. Poetry In Motion released Hotmood's lounge-esque 'The Drum Beat' perfectly in time for it to pick up plenty of summer dance floor rotation. He's also released heat on Tropical Disco Records, Villes et Fleurs, Sundries Digital, Boogie Angst, Golden Soul Records. Read more on Last.fm.
