Techno & Electro Techno
Leisure System is the seminal Berghain residency and label formed by the producers and promoters Ned Beckett, Sam Barker, Michail Stangl and Peter Puzzle. Launched in Berlin in 2008 with their first party at the world-famous Berghain club, the collective expanded since then with various parties, residencies and festival stages all across Europe, amongst others XOYO (London), Arma17 (Moscow), Apolo/Nitsa (Barcelona), La Machine du Moulin Rouge (Paris) or Dimensions Festival (Croatia) - pioneering electronic music in a different way.
Artists like Autechre, Flying Lotus, Disclosure, Dopplereffekt, Clark, Joy Orbison or Venetian Snares have already made their way to the Leisure System nights, just to name a few.
In 2011 the crew decided to provide a platform for dance music in the folds of house, techno and electronica, disregarding media-hype and genre borders and started their own label. With this mindset the label has already seen four remarkable releases from Pixelord, Eprom B

Dopplereffekt are one of the strangest and most mysterious units of the contemporary electronic music scene. There is only one known interview and very few live appearances.
The composers hide behind strange German pseudonyms whereas the track titles and lyrics are in English and make up a strange mixture of scientific, sexually explicit and political allusions. Dopplereffekt’s music is also highly eclectic and unusual. Even if at first sight the forefathers Kraftwerk seem to be more than present, Dopplereffekt have developed their very own and highly influential sound aesthetic, without which the current electro culture seems to be unthinkable.
Their best known album is Gesamtkunstwerk which appeared in 1999 on International Deejay Gigolo Records. This album featured a collection of tracks which were previously only available on the vinyl only releases: Fascist State & Infophysix.
In 2003, Dopplereffekt released Linear Accelerator on the label International Deejay Gigolo Records which was a big departure from their earlier sound. The album featured very little beat oriented tracks and had a focus that largely dealt with Particle Physics.
In 2007, Dopplereffekt released Calabi Yau Space on Rephlex.
