There are at least Four (4) artists with the name Subhuman. 1) subHUMAN, a techno-Industrial group from Germany. 2) Subhuman, a metal band from Italy. 3) Subhuman, a Drum n Bass project by Ed Holmes. 4) Subhuman, a Russian Industrial/ambient project. ----------- 1) subHUMAN ----------- In 1997 / 1998 first results of the cooperation by Alexander von Pruemmer and ToM Manegold were audible, up from the first tone they were different ......deliberately atonal, intentionally monotonous. subHUMAN was born. It was not a brand new idea to produce Industrial just by mixing up the sounds and ambient noises of one´s proximity.... but sound of everyday life has changed distinctly.... pieces of newscasts and the barrage of (des)information were combined with the background noise made by the omnipresent subliminal or pushy advertising, supplemented by sounds of the digital revolution, supported by techno sounds, bad beats and orgiastic hardcore. The outcome is a wide rage of unvarnished brute tracks: Bad News Entertainment for the masses! Releases include the first album antiSEDATIVUM (2001) and the Limited Scum EP (2004). The following tracks were released on compilation albums: "Alles Teuflische!", "Crack Baby" and "Wardance II (WW5)". Lobotomy 4 the Masses, the new concept album of subHUMAN, will be released 2006 or 2007. ----------- 2) Subhuman ----------- Death/Thrash Metal band from Pisa, Italy, born in 2001 as a Thrash Metal cover band. Only in 2003, they began to write their own songs, which are about Italian society problems, serial killers and more, in pure Thrash Metal style. Their sound is influenced by bands like Slayer, Testament, Deicide, Malevolent Creation, Sodom, Cannibal Corpse, Monstrosity, Meshuggah and Nevermore, with very fast and violent riffs, blast beats and a sharp growl/scream singing style. In 2005, Subhuman realised their first demo, called "Delirio n°1", that received positive reviews in Italy and abroad and instantly brought the band to visibility in the Italian extreme underground scene, so they started an intense live activity and played with bands like Cripple Bastards, Pestilence, Dark Lunacy, Gory Blister, Avulsed, Necrodeath, Opeth, Dark Angel etc.. Just only four years after their first demo, they published their first album, Profondo Rozzo, even more acclaimed by the International musical critique than Delirio n°1. On May 18th 2010 they've played at the Unholy Titans Tour in Rome with Vader, Deicide, Decapitated and Marduk.
