Releases by mover

There are at least three different bands / artists called Mover. 1. Mover was a soul / funk indie band from the United Kingdom who released their debut album, Mover in 1998, drawing influences from Motown to Manchester. The band was noticed in the U.K. music press and received radio airplay, but failed to prick the public's consciousness. It was a different story in Japan, where sales were far better and the band were well received. More releases followed, notably the Transit EP (2000) and the full-length album Fly Casual (2001), but success was had limited and Mover split soon after. 2. Mover is an American rock band from San Francisco, CA, United States. Their 1990s line-up was: Eric Shea (vocals, guitar), Paul Tyler (guitar), Matt Murdock (guitar), Mike Theriau (bass) and Matt Ellis (drums). This line-up recorded the band's studio output, including the 1998 album The Only One (1998). There were line-up changed post-2000. 3. Dutch guitarist Arjen Lucassen from The Hague, The Netherlands, enjoyed international hard rock and heavy metal success with his solo projects Star One and Ayreon, but he played in a number of early Dutch heavy metal bands before that. Mover was the very first one. Lucassen started Mover in 1979 with Israeli band mate, Shmoulik Avigal. None of their recordings were released at the time, until 'Don't Touch It' (1979) became the band's very first official release in 2022, surfacing on the compilation Crash! Bang! Wallop! New Wave of Low Lands Heavy Metal 1979-1984. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
