It’s getting plays by Pete Tong as well as Annie Mac on BBC Radio1, is featured on Duck Sauce Mixmag-CD, gets massive DJ Support, reaches Beatport general chart No.1, stays top10 there for 8 weeks and is pole positioning German Club Charts for 7 weeks. November sees Malente&Dex feat. Bonde Do Role „Bangkok“ (EXPLOITED) a fusion where traditional Thai music and Baile Funk. Stunning rmxs by Douster, DOP, Freeform Five, Round Table Knights. Plays by Claude Von Stroke, Untold, DJ Hell, Brodinski, Stlye Of Eye For his last release in 2009 Malente teams up with Jay Robinson on SOUTHERN FRIED: „Do Your Head In EP”. Supported by Boys Noize, Laidback Luke, Riton, The Bloody Beetroots, Drop The Lime. To finish off a successful year, Malente is voted #1 Act of 2009 in German Club Charts DCC for the second time after 2007. 2010 starts with MALENTE vs AZZIDO DA BASS - They’re Killing It“ in march. It’s a kranky stomper that is so far out that you'd have to invent a genre for it. It’s Malente’s debut on Steve Aoki’s DIM MAK label and reaches the no.1 spot in German Club Charts. In May EXPLOITED release MALENTE&DEX follow up Habibi and Indian influenced house stomper. It also climbs to no.1 in German Club Charts. On this EP you can also find the jazzy house “In Nightclubs” and “Doo Doo Dance” feat Spoek & Gnucci Banana. Remixes by Camel, Julio Bashmore, Tony Senghore, DJ Chernobyl, Joice Muniz & Shanti Roots as well as Shir Khan.
