Releases by kaja

1) Kaja was a UK band formed by the four remaining members of Kajagoogoo without Limahl. After Limahl left Kajagoogoo the band recorded a second album called "Islands." The band's name was shortened to "Kaja" and the name of the album was changed to "Extra Play" for its American release. The album contained a big American dance hit with "Turn Your Back On Me." When drummer Jez Strode left the band in 1985, the remaining members, Nick Beggs (Vocals, Bass), Stuart Neale (Keyboards), and Steve Askew (Guitar) continued on as Kaja and recorded a new album called "Crazy Peoples Right To Speak" which spawned a moderately successful single in "Shouldn't Do That." Kaja adapted a new flavour of rock in their new songs while still maintaining the classic Kajagoogoo sound. After this last album, Kaja disbanded and would again re-unite as Kajagoogoo in the new millennium. 2) Kaja is a Swedish klezmer band from Gothenburg, consisting of Camilla Åström (accordeon), Livet Nord (violin) and Daniel Wejdin (double bass). In March 2007 their first CD was released: Krackel (Famous/Moon Records). Read more on Last.fm.
