Releases by dalminjo

Dalminjo is norwegian house/broken beats/electronica producer Ole Roar Granli aka ORG Lounge. He's been producing music since he was 13 years old and signed his Dalminjo alias to Swedish based Deeplay Music in 2001 after recording under the ORG Lounge alias on US label Water Music Records and some drum'n'bass fame and glory on LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records. The Dalminjo project was all about deep, latinperc, jazzy house which the debut EP, "Solitude Jazz", states perfectly. It was soon followed up by the first single from his forthcoming album, "Bossa Note", with a stunning deep remix from JASK (Defected, Soul Furic, Large) that drew acknowledgment from big names such as Dimitri From Paris, SUMO, Danny Krivit, Nik Weston..etc. Just before the Fjord Fusioneer album dropped in late 2003, "And She Said" (originaly featured on the Solitude Jazz EP), was released after popular demand from dj's around the world as an 12" single with remixes from Terry Lee Brown JR and labelmates Physics. Then in november 2003 it was time for the debut album "Fjord Fusioneer" to hit the streets along with a video for the radio single "Love Affair" featuring vocals by Hilde Drange of fellow norwegians, Slowpho. The video had som airtime on MTV and ZTV and the album caught much attention in Japan where Dalminjo had the pleasure to visit Tokyo and play his first ever dj gigs in october 2004. Around this time the 12" single "Despacito (Te Doy Mi Corazón)" featuring singer Malena and remixwork from SUMO was released with massive dj support. Back from Japan, Dalminjo started working on his next album doing some remix work along the way for fellow deeplay music signed artists, Holmes and J.Viewz. Now, over 2 years after the debut it's ready and this time it's a more pop'ish affair with the brilliance of Anja Øyen Vister's voice (known from the norwegian electropopband Flunk and soon her own solocareer) on the first radio single of the album, an electropop cover of The Smiths legendary "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out"(yeah, Ole is a huuuuge The Smiths/Morrissey fan). Dalminjo has also teamed up again with Hilde Drange for some rockin' 80's synth electroclash to call it anything (It's All I Am). Other tracks feature the smooth vocals by Alexandra Hamnede (Everytime You Go, Come Here), Anéh (This Time) and Piya aka Aphrodizia (Uchu Ryokou). The Album, "One Day You'll Dance For Me, Tokyo!" is set for release in february in Japan, may/june in Europe and US date is TBA. Read more on Last.fm.
