Andaloop grew up with music. He had a classical education in cello and choirsinging, started singing in a punkrock group with 16 and performed with 18 as a bassplayer in a jazzrock combo. At the age of 20 he joined the conservatory for theatre in bern and finished the school with diploma in 1996. In 1993 he visited friends in berlin and was deeply impressed by some underground house parties and it was at the legendary tresor club, where he had his first contact with black detroit techno. Back home in berne, Andaloop and hgb fideljus (buerodestruct) started organising different underground parties, where djs such as cherri chandler, deetron, deetree9, dj deep, miklos and others performed. It was at that time, in 1993 that Andaloop had started djing himself. In the very beginning more as a sideproject to his other activities like theatre acting, art performing and his widely regarded work as an off-art gallerist. In 1995 he started his own radioshow at radio rabe, called "wellenwollenwallen" , a dadaistic techno radioshow with guests such as arvild baud (waldorf/ATOC). After moving from berne to zurich, he and hgb fideljus opened up the bar "exil" at zurichs worst street, the langstrasse. At that time dj Andaloop was mostly playing ambient music, creating the right atmosphere to chill and enjoy. It was back in the year 2000 that he once again felt the need for organizing alternative parties. In the same year he therefore organised the very first of the legendary "kibag parties", the biggest uncommercial event during the streetparade in zürich. later, his friends micrometropolice, gianmarco marchetta (motoguzzi records), jorgos margaritis (audioasyl.net) joined this guerilla organisation. The kibag parties were located in a public place at the board of zurichs beautiful lakeside and took the thousands of visitors to a 3 day rave with nonstop djs, live-acts, vjs, performers and installations. At the "kibag", a lot of the young local djs and live-acts played and performed, enjoying their first bigger gig at one of the most successfull events in the history of zurichs nonprofit movement. In 2004 the kibag parties were stopped by the police. over that he organized lots of partys in different, mostly undergroundy locations where djs played such as demarkus lewis, jeff milligan, archetype, todd sines, freak (part of "nôze"). mix and style: Early influenced by black music, Andaloop was impressed by the new electronic black music, such as chicago house and detroit techno. The past years have seen his record collection growing in many different directions, from deep house to breakbeats and electro, minimalistic sounds and ambient pearls. His style can be described with straight minimalistic housegrooves and technoid funk, even when he always plays the record that fits with the time, the room and the situation he's at and the crowd he meets. Once the dancefloor is burning, he loves to play kickin and groovin tunes, with some madness and jokes in it. Andaloop stands for an active mixing, using both, the electronic peripherie and the records, as tools for creating an upper level of electronic dance music, avoiding the dj to become a human jukebox. The groove comes with the right tune, the tension with the mix and the flow with the time. Very recently he started the live project "müne amed", together with his studiopartner and friend "cosili" (stattmusik, motoguzzi, p45), both using a huge setup of synths, samplers and effects. The very roots of this project go back to the good old days of jamming and the streetparade visitors in 2006 got a very good idea about what could be that sound of the future, the band of today, when they enjoyed "müne amed" performing live at the "lethargy, rote fabrik" in zurich.
